Introduction to Brewmaster's Guild
It's taken a year and a half of dedication, passion, and innovation for Brewmaster's Guild to reach the current game state that it is in right now. I want to start this blog off by thanking all the playtesters who have tried the game out in its numerous iterations, and I hope to dive into the development and the steps that I've taken to get to this point.
Brewmaster's Guild is a worker placement game themed around the culture of the craft beer brewery world. It mixes in card drafting, engine building, and contract completion mechanics in a refreshing way. The key hook of the game is the action selection using the game's pentagonal rondel system. It allows players to truly plan out their moves and adds a layer of interactivity between the players involved.
The Future Ahead for Brewmaster's Guild
As we look to the future, Prosperity Games is excited to embark on some key initiatives that will hopefully lead to a successful launch of Brewmaster's Guild in 2026:
Brand Awareness: We plan to raise awareness of our small indie company among our key audience: the hobby board gamer. To achieve this, I'll launch my YouTube channel and continue to blog about all things tabletop, with a focus on the game's design.
E-mail Newsletter: This website is a key foundation for starting the monthly newsletter that I'll be writing beginning next month. You can subscribe to the newsletter from the main home page!
Community Engagement: We aim to strengthen our ties with the tabletop community through our Discord channel, which is linked in the website's contact information. In the Discord channel, I plan to use it for community growth and the ability to sign up for online playtest events!
Social Media: I'm hoping to grow my small channel, @registeredn3rd on Instagram, and connect with fellow tabletop gamers worldwide!
